AI Widget Health Audit

Audit the widget you are looking at — accessibility, performance, and SEO — without leaving the Elementor editor.

What it does

AI Widget Health Audit lives inside the Elementor editor — not a separate admin screen you have to hunt for. Select any widget or section, click Audit widget, and it reviews what you just built.

It checks three things:

Accessibility

Missing alt text on images, buttons without labels, text that is too low-contrast for people with visual impairments, and touch targets that are too small on mobile. These are the issues that show up in WCAG audits and hurt visitors who use assistive technology.

Performance

Unoptimized images, missing lazy load, scripts that can slow the page, and layout patterns that cause content shift (CLS).

SEO

Missing heading structure, duplicate H1 tags, empty link text, and other markup problems that can hurt search ranking.

When WordPress AI is connected under Settings → Connectors (Anthropic, OpenAI, or Gemini), the AI pass goes beyond the mechanical checks. You get plain-English suggestions — not just “alt text missing,” but what that image should say for a screen reader user.

Where a finding maps to a control, the panel tells you which one to open. Where it cannot fix the markup automatically, it tells you exactly what to change by hand.

Most accessibility and SEO tools in WordPress run after the fact, as a separate plugin or a generic page scanner. This one runs in the moment, on the specific widget you are looking at, while you are still building.

Live demo

This is an editor tool, not a frontend widget. Open this page in Elementor, select a widget or section, and click Audit widget.

The panel returns accessibility, performance, and SEO findings for that element. Connect an AI provider under Settings → Connectors to add plain-English suggestions on top of the mechanical checks.

How to implement

  1. Open any page in the Elementor editor.
  2. Select the widget or section you want reviewed.
  3. Click Audit widget in the editor.
  4. Read the accessibility, performance, and SEO findings for that element.
  5. For plain-English suggestions, connect an AI provider under Settings → Connectors. The plugin does not store provider keys.
