WCAG Accessibility Scanner for Elementor

Every section below contains one accessibility problem on purpose. Open this page in Elementor and click Accessibility on the right edge of the screen: the panel lists each problem, outlines it on the page when you click Select, and fixes most of them in one click.

1. An image without alt text

This photo has no alt text in the Media Library, so screen readers skip it. Fix: type a description (or use “Suggest with AI”) and save it to the Media Library.

2. A skipped heading level

The next heading is an H4 straight after this H2, so screen-reader users think they missed a section. Fix: change its tag to H3 (it keeps its look).

3. Text that is too light

The paragraph below is light grey on white (about 1.9:1). WCAG AA needs 4.5:1 for normal text. Fix: copy the suggested darker grey and use it as the text color.

Bookings for next season open on the first of March. Deposits are refundable up to 60 days before the event.

4. An icon link with no name

The heart icon below is a link but has no text, so a screen reader just says “link”. Fix: give it a name such as “Save to favourites”.

5. A vague "Read more" link

Screen-reader users often list all links on a page; “Read more” out of context says nothing. Fix: add a name such as “Read more about our pricing”.

6. A form field without a label

The email field only has a placeholder, which disappears as soon as someone types and is not a label. Fix: add the label “Email address”.

7. A video without captions

This video has no captions track, so deaf and hard-of-hearing visitors miss what is said. There is no one-click fix: upload a captions (.vtt) file and add it to the video.

Passing examples

This text is dark enough, the link contact our wedding planner says where it goes, and the headings on this page step down one level at a time once section 2 is fixed.
