Voice Search: speak a query, or type it.

Tap the mic or type a query. Semantic Search ranks results when that lane is on; otherwise WordPress keyword search. Speech never leaves the browser.

  • Mic or type
  • Speech stays local
  • Semantic optional

What you get

A search field with a mic. Not a wishlist.

Drop EE Voice Search on a page. Visitors speak a query or type it. Firefox and Safari fall back to the text field.

Speak or type

The mic uses the browser Web Speech API. If speech is unavailable, the field still searches.

Speech stays in the browser

Only the resulting text is sent to this site, the same way a typed search is sent. No speech vendor is called from this plugin.

Semantic when that lane is on

When Semantic Search is on, results use POST landtech-extras/v1/search/semantic. Otherwise GET /search/voice (keyword).

Keyword fallback

Keyword search still works when Semantic Search is off or the embedding index is empty.

Published posts only

Results are public, published posts and pages only. Drafts and private items stay out of the list.

Language on the widget

Set the recognition language on the widget. The admin screen lists pages that use EE Voice Search.

Try it

Tap the mic, or type a widget name.

Try a feature name from this site. The three labels below are sample queries, not a product catalog.

Accessibility Scanner

Sample query: find the WCAG scanner demo.

Product Carousel

Sample query: find the Woo product carousel demo.

Booking Calendar

Sample query: find the booking calendar demo.

How it works

Three steps.

Turn the lane on, add the widget, then speak or type.

1

Turn the lane on

Settings → Add-on features → Platform: Voice Search.

2

Add the widget

Add the EE Voice Search widget. Set placeholder, language, and whether results use Auto, Semantic, or keyword search.

3

Speak or type

Open the page, tap the mic (or type), and pick a result. Elementor Extras → Voice Search lists pages that use the widget.

Ready to try it?

Voice Search is part of LandTech Extras Premium. Use it when visitors should search by speaking, with a typed fallback.
