Smart Asset Compiler

Builds one CSS file and one JavaScript file per page from the LandTech Extras widgets actually used on that page, then loads those files instead of each widget’s own assets. Bundles live in uploads/ltxe-compiled/ and are rebuilt when the page is saved, the plugin is updated, or you click Recompile. Off by default.

Where Elementor Extras → All Tools → Asset Compiler.

How to use it

  1. Turn on "Platform: Smart Asset Compiler" under Settings → Add-on features.
  2. Open All Tools → Asset Compiler. Choose a published Elementor page and click Compile, or leave Auto-compile ticked so the first public visit builds the bundle.
  3. The table lists widgets found on each page, the compiled CSS and JS sizes, and how much smaller they are than the original files.
  4. Edit the page in Elementor and save — the bundle is removed so the next compile (or the next public visit) matches the new widgets.
  5. Use Recompile all after a plugin update if you want every listed page refreshed in one go. Updating LandTech Extras Premium also clears the compiled files automatically.

Notes

  • Only LandTech Extras frontend widget handles are merged. jQuery, Elementor core, admin screens, the editor, Client Feedback overlay and Time Machine stay as separate files.
  • Files are written to uploads/ltxe-compiled/ as post-{id}-{hash}.css and .js. The hash is in the enqueue version so caching plugins treat a rebuild as a new asset.
  • The Elementor preview and editor never load the compiled bundle. Remote or CDN script URLs are skipped so nothing is fetched from another host during compile.
  • Developers: GET /wp-json/landtech-extras/v1/asset-compiler/status (manage_options), POST …/asset-compiler/compile (edit_post), POST …/compile-all and …/clear-all (manage_options), DELETE …/asset-compiler/{post_id} (edit_post). Filters landtech_extras/asset_compiler/widgets and landtech_extras/asset_compiler/handles_for_widgets. Hook landtech_extras/asset_compiler/compiled.
