Client Feedback Mode

Share a private review link so a client can pin comments on the live page without a WordPress login. Each session has a 64-character token and a separate admin token for resolving comments. Comments are stored in two database tables; the session creator can be emailed via WordPress mail. Different from Design Review, which is for editors on the Elementor canvas. Off by default.

Where Elementor Extras → All Tools → Client Feedback. Clients open the shared URL on the published page; they do not log in to WordPress.

How to use it

  1. Turn on "Platform: Client Feedback Mode" under Settings → Add-on features.
  2. Open All Tools → Client Feedback, choose a published page, optionally add a label and expiry, and click Create review link.
  3. Copy the Client link and send it. The visitor types their name (remembered in the browser) and clicks the page to pin a comment.
  4. Keep the resolve link for yourself. Opening it on the same page lets you mark comments resolved without logging in. Do not send that link to the client.
  5. On the admin screen, close a session when the review is done (the client link stops accepting comments) or delete it to remove every comment.
  6. Optional: untick the email checkbox if you do not want WordPress to email you when a comment is posted.

Notes

  • This is not Design Review. Design Review pins comments on the Elementor canvas for logged-in editors. Client Feedback is a token overlay on the live site for people without a WordPress account.
  • Share a published page. Drafts and private pages still need a WordPress login to view, so the overlay cannot reach a client there.
  • The review token is 64 hex characters (256 bits). Anyone with the URL can read and post comments on that session until you close it. Treat the link like a password.
  • Comments store the name the visitor typed, the comment text, and where it was pinned. Email addresses and IP addresses are not stored. A hashed IP is used only for a one-hour rate limit.
